Look at the specs, that motherboard supports 4Gb of memory. Which means 4Gb of system addressing so all your internal system i/o uses up some of that addressing space thus if the board doesn't have more available than the amount of RAM you put on it not all the RAM will ...

Only 3.25GB of my 4GB of RAM is detected in Windows XP Pro x64 (64-Bit Edition)
I would expect this from 32-Bit architecture, but that is why I upgraded to XP Pro x64. (Service Pack 2 Build 3790)
I have tried everything I could find by searching through many different forums, and looking at FaQ's, but nothing has worked. Below I will ...

About a week ago I ordered an identical 1gb patriot extreme stick of ram. When I installed it I was getting bluescreens on startup. I attributed this to simply a DOA but when I got my replacement earlier today I found that the exact thing happened again.
I find it unlikely that I got to DOAs in a row. I have tried changing the memory timings to ...

I'm a first-time DIY PC builder, so I'm not sure how much info is needed, but this is the motherboard I ordered:
EVGA 123-YW-E175-A1 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 750i FTW SLI ATX
I haven't been able to find (or haven't been using correctly) a RAM compatability tool for this motherboard. So, in my impatience, I went ahead and ...

Thank for any help.I was building a HTPC last night with an HEC case, a Foxconn A7GM-S motherboard and somespare parts that I had around. Firstthing was that the motherboard came with no standoff (brass screws or plastic ones) which I thoughtwas very odd. Secondly the case had raised “dimples?” where the motherboardwould screw on. I read that in ...

I included my shopping cart below because I didn't feel like writing it all out! Also - in addition to the items ...

Hi all.
I've had my computer about a year now. It's been great. I'm running Vista Ultimate (32 bit) on 2 Gigs of RAM and it has been just fine.
However, I always like more power. :) And I'm thinking about upgrading to 3 or 4 gigs. Not sure how much will be recognized by the 32 bit OS.. i've heard 3.. and i've heard ...

I'm currently in the process of upgrading an older desktop. I bought two sticks of memory for it, upon being told it used 240-pin DDR2. It doesn't fit. Is there any way I can tell what the old memory is by looking at it? There are no obvious labels or anything. Any help would be great. Thanks!

I am considering buying a laptop. One that I can use for college (but mostly for gaming ). The computer I have decided on at Newegg.com (see link below) has a 91% rating. The only thing im worried about is that it comes with Vista 32bit, which will only use 3 gbs or ram when it has 4. I was curious about how to upgrade it to 64bit. I want this ...
