I currently have an M2N32-SLI Deluxe Wireless Edition motherboard in my computer, and I'm going to use one of the same to build another computer. I have purchased two Seagate 2700.10 250GB SATA HDD's and I would like to put them in RAID 0. Since I have the same board, I looked around in my BIOS (the other computer is still a work in progress) ...

So I bought 2 pcs worth of equipment. Both exactly identical but in different cases. One installed no problem. I got both Windows XP and Vista installed without a problem. The other keeps crashing in the middle of the OS install, either Vista or XP. I took the HDD out of it and put in the HDD from the other PC with ...

I have a K9A2 Platinum motherboard and i have 2 OCZ HPC reaper 2gb sticks in it. they are supposed to run at 1066 but the mother board states its running at 800 and the only way to change the number is to adjust the fsb ram ratio or change the fsb. the ratio is at the highest so the only way to increase the ram is to rase the fsb, but that raises ...

If you cannot flash from within Windows (and I don't think your motherboard supports this) then you must either buy a external floppy drive (USB), or a flash drive, or install an internal floppy drive, or flash off a bootable DVD/CD. I recommend any of the three previous, but if you won't shell out any money for it, here is a bootable CD ...

This is my first build from scratch and the first time I've run into a problem like this. I've put in all the pieces, but when I power up, I get a screen asking me to press DEL for BIOS or TAB for POST. When I do try to get into one of those, nothing happens other than the caps lock on my keyboard turns on (and won't turn off). I'm stumped. Is it ...

I don't know any detailed specs off the top of my head, but if you need them, I'll find out.
My PC has a motherboard that's about 3-4 years old. I bought a WD SATA 160GB hard drive to replace my old IDE (same brand and size), and I'm on my second one because the first one was not recognized. I waited a few weeks to get a replacement only to find ...

Tiesto:great article but what the hell is a bios? I am really new at building a pc from scratch, I've never done it. this article seems geared more towards people who know these ''basic'' things. this stuff about bios is the only thing preventing me from building a PC in the first place. I wish there was a site that ...

I'm looking to build a few workstations in our office. We use 3 monitors per desktop. I'm looking to do custom builds to try to save some dough and have a system that will last longer. The most important thing is that it has onboard video and the BIOS still lets me install a PCI-e video card and use both. The last desktops we bought no longer ...

Here's my laptop bios splash screen, Luckily I suppose on yer mode of thinking.
My bios supports jpeg importing. but I think it sucks also that almost every oem
decides to drop all the advanced settings out of firmwares.
Here's the actual image I created in Paint.NET
Here's a dump of the Bios running the splash

I have the ASUS P5B Premium Vista Edition mobo. I attempted to update the BIOS using the Windows utility, but it failed and corruped the BIOS. I am trying to recover the BIOS using the built in feature called CrashFree BIOS 3. I put the original DVD in the drive and reboot, and nothing happens. I get a black screen, no POST, no beeps. ...

I ordered a new computer:

SATA 500gig HD

SATA DVD/CD drive
