Motherboard spec question: Memory standard (OC)??

when a mobo specs says "Memory Standard      DDR3 1600(OC)/1333/1066 MHz" does the (OC) mean u have to overclock the board to 1600? Thanks for responses.

That is correct you can run the 1066/1333 but you would have to OC it to get the 1600. That is the catch but the other is which memory is best for OCing to that FSB, being that few people are recomending the DDR3 and fewer still are using it, with the new Nehalems out and the X58s all setup for DDR3 that info should be out as soon as the big reviewers start testing and make their reports public.Knockout

I'd have to list Tom's Hardware as #1 for me, Hardwarecanooks and Xbitlabs are my three primaries there are others but I don't check them out that often.
