    Flashing Bios

I want to update the bios on my ECS RS480-M V1.0 motherboard.  I read the instructions but wasnt sure about something.  I am attempting to flash my bios with winflash, and theres an option in there to clear cmos.  For the whole process to work, do I still have to do anything with the jumper? If so, what? And should I update all the blocks? just a brief description would be appreciated.

Pretty sure you won't have to touch the jumper.

I/WE always recomend updating the BIOS from the BIOS area, doing it in windows can be a bit riskier.

Well ECS website reccomends that I use WinFlash, but in it there is an option to clear cmos.  Does that mean I can update everything without having to change the jumper position?

Ok while updating it, after programming main block, it goes to verify main block 2% then sais veryify block error? so what i do?  Does the cmos jumper effect the process at all, should i just take it off.  its a 3pin btw.

That my friend is why we do it in the BIOS.
