I just removed the zalman 9700cnps from my cpu and replaced it with the sunbeam 'core contact' freezer and I have a freind with an amd am2 build so I would like to give it to him. However I cannot find the am2 retention clip for my zalman and I was wondering if I could just jurry rig the retention clip from the stock heatsink on his motherboard now or would that be harmful?
