    ABS Diablo ADV

Probably going to use this for my next build.  What say you all?

It's obviously got flash-factor, but that's not the main draw for me.  I'm all about the massive fan on the side and the fans on top.  Plus it has seperate controllers for the front, side, and top fans.

The ABS site actually links to NewEgg, so there's no official page for this puppy yet.  Not surprisingly, I haven't been able to find any "official" reviews of it either.

Sadly, that side fan will get in the way of just about any tower heatsink out there.

Really?  I've got an AeroCool ExtremEngine3T right now (250cm side fan), and an ASUS Arctic Square cooler, and it all fits.  It's very close, but it fits!

The 3T is a mid-tower, and the Diablo is a full-tower, and the cooler I plan on using is smaller than my current one, so I think I'm okay in that area.

    Re: ABS Diablo ADV

    Well, nvm then.

I have an Antec Twelve Hundred, it's 0.3 inches wider than the ABS case. The Tuniq Tower that's in there is rather close to the side panel, and actually slightly conflicts with the side 120mm fan I've got installed. Which is a 25mm thick fan. For large fans such as the 25cm fans, they are more like 38mm thick so I guess you'd just have to be careful with any large tower heatsinks.

Xclio with their Windtunnel cases have the right idea. Anyway, good luck with your future build. For the case you're planning to get, make sure replacement fans are readilly available.

    Re: ABS Diablo ADV

I've looked at the Windtunnel cases, and about went for the advanced one, but the positioning of the USB/audio ports really irks me (on the right side), and the fact that the controllers are in the back and take up PCI slots made me none too happy, as well.

I'll take a look at the dimensions of the cases just to be sure - thanks for pointing that out to me!

    *edit*

    Case Widths:

    ExtremEngine 3T:  20.1cm
    Diablo ADV:  20.6cm

    Cooler Heigths:

    Silent Square (current):  140mm
    Silent Knight II (future):  110mm

    I think I'm alright.  :)

Have you checked out the Coolermaster HAF 932?  Its quite the performer if you're looking for big fans and big cooling!

Yep, and it looks nice, but I don't like that only one of the fans has LED's.  The other fans are odd sizes, too, so it would be difficult to swap them for other fans that do feature LED's.

I'm pretty sure you can swap out the top fan for 2x120mm fans, but I'm not sure about the front or side panel ones.
