    system bottlenecks?

Im building a light gaming system (mostly games 4-2 years old, but some new ones like cod 4) out of some old parts and I was wondering where the main performance bottlenecks were, and if there were any cheap solutions to increase performance or if I could downgrade any components to save cash? My system specs are below.

a better video card will be better although IMHO, the CPU might bottleneck the performance of the rig. Maybe it is not bad to get a HD 4670.

    Re: system bottlenecks?

Hm... that system might be able to play a lot of games that are currently out. It might even be able to play Crysis at a low setting. The CPU and video card are both arguable, but I think the way games are going, I'm leaning towards the CPU being the bottleneck. However, upgrading the CPU might mean a new motherboard.

    Re: system bottlenecks?

If get a better video card, you can install a good sound card to help alleviate any CPU bottlenecking. If your considering spending anymore, it would be more cost effective to build a new system.
