    Motherboard Temps Question

    Hello,

I installed easy Tune 6 on my system and it shows my system temp 49 degrees cel. and my cpu 38 degrees cel.

    What is considered good temps?

Is the system temp my motherboard temp?

I instaled real temp 2.70 whih suppose to work with Intel CPUs.  It shows my cpu at 33 degrees cel.

    Should I be concerned?

    Thanks.

    Re: Motherboard Temps Question

It depends on the chipset, but I don't see 49 as cause for immediate concern... You can throw those other fans in there, and that should bring it down a bit. Make sure you have IN and OUT, not all one or the other...

My buddy used to use the following as a rule of thumb :"If it burns you, it's too hot." :-P

    Re: Motherboard Temps Question

    Hello,

Thanks for the info.  I have an Intel Chipset.

I am going to put two 92mm fans in the front of the case.  I guess that will bring air into the case?  And the 120mm fan will take the air out.

One other thing Iforgot to mentioned was that under normal conditions the system temps reaches around 42 degrees cel and my cpu is around 30.

Once I play a high end game (Word of Warcraft) it kicks into high gear around 49 for the system and 40-48 for the cpu.

What do you mean about make sure I have IN and OUT, not all one or the other?  Are you talking about make sure I have both 92mm fans going i one direction?

     Thanks again for your info.

    Re: Motherboard Temps Question

What i mean is, make sure you have logical airflow in the case... having all your fans blowing out will cause your case to overheat. Ideally you have cold air coming in low in the front, and leaving high in the back, as your PSU pushes out. I have two side fans in my case, the lower one pulls in onto my video card and the higher one pushes out.

EDIT: The temps you posted are no cause for concern, and in fact are a bit below average.
