    Phish Tour!

I just wonder if anyone else here is really fired up about this.

The quartet from Vermont hits the stage again in '09.  Confirmed opener in Hampton, Va.  I've heard some talk about lots of multiple night runs for the rest of the tour, but it isn't official yet.  If true, I'm in heaven, that's how I like to see them.  (already making plans for the 4 nights I heard about in KC)

Who's got my heady grilled cheese?  =]

    Holy [expletive]!

    Thanks for the link.

I had never seen that before.  although they are know for being supportive of audience recording at least shows they arn't releasing themselves so i guess I'm not shocked it's out there.

Anyway looks like I'll be beating the hell out of my local dsl node with this one for a while. Boxing

Funny, I did the same thing when I found that recently.  =]

I didn't find what I was hoping to, but saw something about 45 shows, 19 stops (supposedly).  Deer Creek, Alpine, maybe Red Rocks (!)....we'll see if it holds true.  I'm hoping for a reason to check the Gorge off the list.....I might end up losing whatever job I have at the time.  It's cool.

    Cheers

    Re: Phish Tour!

the Gorge or Red Rocks I would love to see phish at either.  My wife and I used to go out to alpine valley every summer for the 2 day dave show but school eventually took it's toll.  For a phish reunion show I'd throw some weight around to get out there however.

    Re: Phish Tour!

Cool band story that just happened:

The peeps at PhantasyTour / People For A Compressed Trey are pretty great. link  (DRoboto, remember People for a Louder Mike?  lol)

Cliffs:  Trey hasn't used the Ross compressor since before the band's hiatus and that pedal was pretty integral to his sound, for certain songs especially.  I think it was lost, or something.  Anyway, the PT/PFACT people chipped in for a replacement for him, an original, with a little custom-engraving no less.  Tom Marshall is a member there (!), so it was sent to him, and he gave it to Trey.

Trey:  "People would be hard-pressed to find an equivalent story in music history."

    Re: Phish Tour!

Interesting interview, I always knew they did a lot themselves as for as merch and organization, but to be making your own shirts and sitting in on the planning and operations of a group of their scope would be a massive undertaking indeed.  No wonder they got to where they felt they had to take a break.  I hope when they get back together now they find good people who they feel they can trust with some of the other stuff and allow themselves to focus on making music.

    Re: Phish Tour!

Video announcement is better than posting dates, I think.  I hear it's the first leg of the tour, more to come.  (I hope):
