Okay. I love NewEgg and believe they are a great company, and I am currently thinking about buying a ps3 through them because well, they'd offer the best service compared to wal-mart and such if any problems arose. With that being said, the 2 year protection plan I also might be buying with it..what is it like compared to say..best buys or circuit city? They have one advantage and that is I can physically go into their store and have them fix it right there and be back the next day or something. PS3's are priced exactly the same everywhere so buying it anywhere doesn't matter, I just want the best protection plan for the best value. Also, is the protection plan even worth it in your view?

If I were you, I would place an order with newegg for this PS3 without hesitation. As you know that newegg is a great company, and I think they earn this honor by their customer service, then why do you even ask. IMHO

they dont fix PS3's at the store O.o

they send them back to the factory and about a month or so later you get it back as a refurb

I'm not to sure about neweggs protection plan, but any protection plan is usually only if you're paranoid. The PS3 comes with a Sony 30 day "free" warranty and a 1 year warranty with a $150 "deductible". I wouldn't say the protection plan is worth it either since the PS3 has an estimated less than 1% failure rate(source). Also, Joe88 is right about the store protection plan except that it usually only takes 2 weeks or more.
