It's a great deal but I make it a habit of avoiding rebates that I have to file for.  Their a risky hit and miss proposition.  If you really want to make it a good deal, you as a company handle the rebate and give us, the consumer, the bottom line price right up front.  You have the leverage to get your rebate every time and we as the consumer get the price we want without hassle.  The current way of doing business is looking more like TigerDirect every day.

Re: 102108 $19.99 Corsair Flash Drive & More

    Hi Shortie,

I agree that I definitely prefer Instant Rebates to MIRs, but MIRs are usually decided by the manufacturers rather than us. Sometimes we are able to bargain with them to change an MIR to an Instant Rebate, but these days, as you can imagine, they're not very receptive to giving us outright discounts. :(  MIRs are a hassle but we'll use them if we can't get an Instant Rebate out of the manufacturer because it still saves our customers additional money in the end.

So, we're sorry for the inconvenience with the MIRs for now, but as we get bigger and gain more bargaining leverage, we'll definitely be trying to get more and more Instant Rebates for you in the future.

Heh heh, yeah, I got one for my dad too. He has an ancient laptop that only has a 8GB HD... so I'm essentially tripling his storage space for twenty bucks... :D
