droscoe:
Does anyone know ANYTHING about the othe two classes? What could they even be?
I mean, they HAVE to have some sort of an archer or something.
And have you read that batttle.net will start charging people for certain features of the game? More on that will come out soon. They said it wouldnt be monthly subscription, but some 'monetary' fees will apply somewhere along the line. Hmmph
Also, I looked around for it, but couldnt find any info about it. Maybe you guys could help. In multiplayer, when you join a game, your experience and stats and loots that you receive while playing with other players, does all of that carry over to your single player character?
In Diablo 2, Battle.net characters were treated differently from Single Player characters. Basically, with a single player character you could play together over LAN or direct internet connection and switch back to single player, however the Battle.net characters could only be played online using battle.net, and the character data was stored on Blizzards servers.
So if they do it the same way, Your Battle.net character would be playable only online via battle.net but your single player characters can be played with others on a LAN (local area network) game, or direct connect (in which players type your IP address into their game to connect directly to your host).
One of the underlying successes of Battle.net is that it never charged you for playing, if they do plan on charging for this service I think they need to be adding more functionality to the online multiplayer arena....as in, Battle.net only game modes, special items, etc. I would really prefer them keep this free however since this game is really not an mmorpg (which is a good thing).
As for the classes missing classes, I'd assume some sort of hunter or ranged fighter, and a thief or blade fighter (like the assassin).
That's what she said...
