    During Checkout (Billing/Shipping Address)

If the shipping address does not match the billing address exactly, have a pop-up or a big red flashing warning that tells people about the address verification with the credit card company.

Or just have it in big red flashing text anyways for everybody so they know.

Perhaps it can save a future shopper from the experience I had with my last order.

    Re: During Checkout (Billing/Shipping Address)

Perhaps you could do another copy/paste and show me where in the checkout screen it mentions this.  Aside from the one link on the bottom of the main page, it never mentions it.  I do read what I am doing during checkout.  I did use address verification button during the checkout.  I have not ignored any advice given, and I have listened to what you and others have said.

This is the suggestion forum, and what I am suggesting does not adversely affect anything, but possibly prevents a bad shopping experience.

Perhaps I am ranting a bit, but it is only to the people I think can possibly help prevent this kind of problem again.  I am sorry if this is affecting you on a personal level.

And enough with the commas; is your period key broken?

    /end rant

    Re: During Checkout (Billing/Shipping Address)

I apologize if I've misconstrued the formerly posted arguments, but the original text remains unaddressed: "If the shipping address does not match the billing address exactly".  Seemingly condescending, and abrasive comments such as: "perhaps you should pay attention to the screen...but since you want a copy/paste, here you go" fail to provide a valid argument to suggest the user "psooky" was incorrect in his statement. The "Check Address" script may be present, but in my experience, does NOT state there is an exact correlation between the billing and shipping addresses provided. It has only verified that the given address is a valid shipping address. Try an address that does not match the given billing address, and click "Check Address".

Although, the discrepancies may have been individual error, I've received a failed verification e-mail 4 times over the same purchase, and never have I been notified that the billing/shipping address must match. And I've a pending, hopefully successful, order -- after supplying them with an exact match with both addresses subsequent to much trouble with my bank's customer service department.

*[Edit]: I however, do not endorse the idea of "red flashing warnings", but an overt indication that the address much match would be better suited. Unless of course, it's been the inadequacy of my Bank's notation all this while, then all the previous is void.

I don't know, i've never had a problem doing bill-to ship-to orders with my debit card.  it maybe different for regular credit cards.  he asked where the button was, so i showed him.
