You need to edit the Network Adapter properties for that network connection and un-check the
IPV6 entries
save it. Then diagnose and repair, the one after the first one.
in vista, the first D&R is equivalent to XP's "repair" function; while the one vista offers after that one fails, is like "disabling" and "enabling" the adapter [which is what you need to do at this point.]

[Manually configuring your IP address settings etc, will also solve this, as the issue is (usually,) between Vista and the DHCP server in the Router ]
What weight does your Spirit have to be in order to be considered "heavy" ?
