I am looking to replace my current CD/Burner drive with a DVD+-RW drive with Lightscribe, but cannot find what I am looking for, so here I am. I have an Alienware M9700 laptop currently fitted with a Philips 24X CD/RW burner. I am running Vista with no problems. I was given 2 models to look at, but they must be outdated as I cannot find them. One was an 8X DVD+-RW by NEC ( model # AD7598a ) and the other was by Samsung, TS-6632H. I am running with an AMD Turion 64 @ 2GHz with 2GB ram. Thanks!!

Is there any reason you're limiting yourself to these two specific models?

Those were just the ones I was given. Ill use whatever fits and has what I need.

Those are the results I got after filtering for lightscribe and DVD+-RW. As far as compatibility goes, some of these are IDE connected, some are Sata.

Guess I left out the small part that it needs to be a slim line. Its for my laptop. Sorry ( its for a M9700 Alienware laptop )
