I don't know if there was ever a deal on this item, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817994047, but I was wondering if I can ever expect a free shipping promotion?  In not paying $9 shipping for a $10 item, but I really would like to get a few of these, as they are fairly reliable, and very cheap (not so much with the shipiping...).

Seems the cheapest shipping is 3-day ground for just over $8.00, at least that's what it is to Florida.

What you can do is click "price alert" on the product. Login...then it will go to a screen and you can check:

"2. Other Conditions (optional):

and check "has free shipping".

It should auto-notify you if it has free shipping ever...or just look for the product in a local store. Pretty much your only option.

Yeah, Gametech has a good suggestion with the price alert (I use them myself for stuff I want but don't want to pay too much for :P). But I'll also take your request to the product guys and see if they can hurry it up a little. ;-)
