according to Creative there is no difference other than the memory card between the Zen 2GB and the Zen 32GB mp3s.  I have found a A-DATA 32 gb CF card (Speedy CF32G) and would like to ask whoever might know, whether the CF (compact flash card) would work properly in a SD card slot.

No a CF can not work in a SD slot.

thank you.  I'm not happy with that answer but, oh well!   thought I was going to save a lot of money.  The Creative Zen 2 gb is only $60 and the cf card was only $80 for a total of $140.  the Zen 32GB mp3 is $250-270.  Any suggestions that might work (other than just buying the 32GB machine)?

 

See if you can exchange the CF card for a SD card. A CF is far larger in physical size then that of the SD. CF is very old technology and most companies today are going with SD over CF.
