Re: Zombie Hour with Root
Nope I did not listen to them, Frank Zappa and the mothers of invention were the weirdest I ever went unless you count Joe Cocker and Mad Dods and Englishmen saw him with Charlie Daniels in Indianapolis back in 74. She crept in through the bathroom window.

Re: Zombie Hour with Root
No not really we haven't hit the 50's yet, Chuck Berry and my dingling, Eric Clapton and I shot the sheriff. The old Beach Party movies with Frankie Avolon and Annette Formichello think I spelled those names right.

Re: Zombie Hour with Root
Did you know cinc that Eric Clapton played with several bands before he went out on his own, they were the Animals and Cream. Another good song was White Room.

Re: Zombie Hour with Root
If you like the bluesy EC, try the Bluesbreakers album. Love it. The Yardbirds and Blind Faith are good, too, don't get me wrong... So, did you catch some zombies? =P

Re: Zombie Hour with Root
Hey IH cinc's still chasing those Z's, so I thought I might answer you and yes I love the blues and the old style jazz I even have some John Mayall albums & some Climax Blues Band albums. Oh yea nothing wrong with those 2 groups or the old Beach Boys or Donavon. Shoot I use to listen to Carol King and Carly Simon too, Dianna Ross and the Supremes throw in a little Jimi Hendricks and Chubby Checkers with that and we really telling our age now.

Nice! I'm especially jealous that you got to see FZ back in the day. Man, if I could go back in time for a concert, that's my pick.

Re: Zombie Hour with Root
Yep a few friends and I drove from Melbourne Fla. to Daytona Beach back in 72 to see him live and in person. Shoot I have managed to see some real good concerts in my younger days, there were some I missed due to being in the Navy and out to sea at the time like Pink Floyd but the others Kansas with The Altlantic Rythum Section, Moody Blues, Bob Dylan, Rare Earth and Brownsville Station even got to go party with them a Group called Clown did the warm up and I had played rowde for them When they went by the name Hard Road.

and since I can't count higher than 20, that would mean that you are probably quite old. Even ancient by my reckoning.
