7 miles to the east of me they have road runner, but because of county tax laws they will not cross the county line.

The closest High speed in any other direction is 22 miles......but that is in another county as well.......closest one in my county is 25 miles away.   And there is nothing between my house and that area...........My phone company said they estimate DSL to be available to me in 12 years.(AT&T)

Ha, yea sure does.         I was thinking of runnin my own cable down to road runner, lol.

I read that there is an area in Mississippi that still didn't have telephones until recently.  

Get a big antenna and jack some internet!

The closest satellite installer is a 3 1/2 hour drive so I can't get that either, they won't drive out here to do it.

I do tend to go to Circuit City and download stuff.................They have an open Wifi that lets anyone on..........With my wireless-N card I can do it halfway across the parking lot.
