    New Video Card

Hi I've been looking into getting a new graphic card. I currently have a 8600gt which is so loud its annoying me and instead of getting a aftermarket cooler I decided to get a Ati 4830.

This is the PSU I have. Will I have enough amps to run a single 4830?

Also if someone could tell me what brand to get that has a quiet fan that would be great.

    Thanks.

On a personal note, I lost a bit of faith in TT power supplies after I saw one ruin itself and a motherboard (I believe the PSU was the cause).

Anyways, yes that could run a 4850 or even a 4870... In fact, you may be more satisfied with a 4850 than a 4830, but it's your call.

Yeah, I would go with a 4850 because its more of a high-range card.

Although it is a step up to get a 4830, the money you spend may not justify the slight increase in power. Both the 8600GT and the 4830 are mid/lower range budget cards.

Also, don't worry about your PSU. It will run it fine (assuming it doesn't do what slmclarengt says). Personally, thermaltake stuff has been alright for me, but idk.

    Thanks for the replys.

I would get a 4850 but I'm really unsure about the low amps on the power supply.
