Noob question about the new i7 CPU

Alright so I was noticing that the new I7's don't have a FSB instead it has This "QPI 4.8GT/s".

What does QPI and the number next to it mean? (p.s sorry ahead of time if this isn't the right place to ask questions).

And why is it better to have an 8mb l3 cashe over a 12mb l2 cache?

l2 cache has lower latency than l3.

Double check your RAM you have DDR3 1333 listed and that mobo only uses DDR2RAM. Cool
