will it fit in an antec 900?

Though the antec 900 is a great cooling case. I owned one its a real tight fit these days for the new longer cards at 10.5 in's. The fan cage on the hd bay will have to be removed and best not to put any drives in the lower bay.

I opted to get a bigger case when I upgraded my video card. I didn't want to chance a tight fit and reduced airflow. Also I had the drive bays filled where the card was and was not able to move them up.

Coolermaster HAF is an outstanding cooling case these days and its a few dollars more then the 900. This will give you more front to back room and allow for more airflow.

I agree with Sparker on the case.  The Antec 900 may work but the HD 4870 X2 is an absolute beast and will be a very tight squeeze.  The Coolermaster HAF is a great case when it comes to cooling and will definitely be a bit more cozy, however it isn't the greatest looking case.  I recommend looking into some Full Tower cases instead Mid Tower.  Here are a couple more options:

JSV....Interesting..... the COOLER MASTER HAF 932 RC-932-KKN1-GP has all those 230mm fans...zowee batman.....Is the idea that with fans that big you can still get good airflow if you dial them down and they won't make as much noise?

Yeah, ideally a larger fan can move the same amount or more air than the next smaller size, but quieter.
