    PowerEdge 2900 Noise?

Does anyone have a PowerEdge 2900? I am curious how noisy it is. I have a home office which is not too far from my bedroom and need a quite server. I currently have a PowerEdge 2850 which is very loud, even though its in a custom made server cabinet. Please, if anyone has any experience with the PowerEdge 2900 please let me know of the noise.

     Thanks!

These servers are built to run 24/7 in noisy air conditioned data centers.

Yes any and all Server Chassis will have VERY loud internal fans, because Server CPU's are usually passively cooled, and a LOT of airflow is critical to system operation.

    Yes +1

If you want relatively quiet servers for rackmount use, then you could possibly look at a barebone such as this.
