looks very nice for a first build. It's not too often you see nubs do any sort of cable management.

thanks, i was lil nervous about drilling holes in the case so i tried to keep the cables as neat as possible.  Im a lil OCD so that kinda led to my attempt at cable management.

Not sure if doing the 8gb of ram was a dumb move or anything, but i did notice a big difference over just the 4gb i started with.  Not really a gamer, although i love crysis, im in photoshop and illustrator all day

Re: *Sticky* What is in your Rig?

I don't see any problems with 8gb of ram. Most people Dont need it but it does allow you to do some cool things like disabling windows swap file to reduce the amount of data that needs to be written to your hard drives which are normally one of the slowest components in a computer. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/vista-workshop,1775-6.html

Also mentioned in that article you may want to disable hybernation since its taking up 8gb of your hd space.

I agree with that also. I just could never see myself personally using more than 3GB of RAM, and I'd consider myself a power user. Of course, I'll bet you I'll be needing more of it in a couple of years if not sooner. I keep forgetting how much of a resource hog Vista is. I managed to install Windows XP in 560MB on my EEE PC, lol.

Try Ubuntu Linux http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download it's all free and a few different versions, and can even boot from the disc so you can try it before you install it. It can even be installed in Windows and it has both 32-bit and 64-bit OSes, just be sure to install WINE for your Windows apps.  ^_^

Re: *Sticky* What is in your Rig?

Thar she is, the Penzelbub Badgyrl has evolved once again, we sprinkled some NE luv over that Antec 900, and POOF, an Antec 1200 popped up! Lol.

Yeah yeah,  I know, you see an old ragged Dell keyboard.! I’z had a Kensington wireless, but it was a POJ. So I went back to my old faithful. I am using a Logitech G mouse though. The notebook is a new Centrino 2 Lenovo ThinkPad T500, a decent model I would recommend to anyone.

(Oh, the FT has to stay off the floor, that's little girl territory! LOL!)

    Peace, Penewah!
