Ok, first time blogger. So any mistakes, apologies in advance :)
About a year and a half ago I bought a Dell Inspirion 1501 for home use, primarily itunes, pics, office work in excel, wordperfect, word, etc. Updated the processor and the ram from basic model and the darn thing still never worked well. My compaq presario (ancient) ran better than the inspirion w/vista. Husband recently dropped dell and cracked the LCD screen. (a blessing perhaps?) It is about $500 to replace the screen through dell and another $100 to transfer our files over.
Laptop was only $720 to begin with. So obviously we're looking to buy a new computer. Can someone tell me what kind of processor, ram, and hard drive I should get in my next laptop to deal with vista. I cannot tell you how frustrating vista was on our older system. We're not gamers, really just do the itunes thing, pics and the above microsoft programs. We're not computer savvy really so any advice is appreciated. And another basic question, can you uninstall vista if you don't like it?
