  • Dual-channel TV reception and A/V capture
    • Source type: analog terrestrial broadcast, analog cable broadcast, and analog A/V signal from set-top boxes or other A/V equipment
    • Signal type: radio frequency (RF from antenna, cable TV, output of set-top boxes) or baseband (S-Video or composite video)

Good luck finding this one for cheap! www.pcalchemy.com had it for a good price, but no longer. this is a truly great tuner card. and works great with SageTV, Which is my personal PVR software of choice.

the Purevideo  Platium codec from Nvidia is worth the money even if you don't have this tuner. It helps reduce

cpu usage while decoding video. also has mediaplayer plug-ins. Well enjoy later guys...

DD-WRT

DD-WRT

is free firmware for several wireless routers, most notably the Linksys WRT54G (including the WRT54GL and WRT54GS), that run minimalist Linux-based operating systems. It is licensed under the GNU General Public License version 2.

DD-WRT versions up to v22 were based on the Alchemy firmware from Sveasoft, which in turn is based on the original Linksys firmware. DD-WRT versions from v23 onwards, however, are almost completely rewritten. The Linux Kernel part is based on the OpenWrt Kernel, which started as a Linksys-based firmware but later changed to its own build framework. All of the firmwares are based on the GNU/Linux platform, as are OpenWrt and Alchemy.

Special features not included in the original firmware includes Kai network, daemon, IPv6, Wireless Distribution System, RADIUS, advanced quality of service, radio output power control, overclocking capability, and software support for a Secure Digital Card hardware modification.

Releases

The major releases to date include:

DD-WRT v23 Service Pack 1 (SP1) was released on May 16 2006. Much of the code was overhauled and rewritten during the development of this release, and many new features were added.

DD-WRT v23 Service Pack 2 (SP2) was released on September 13 2006. The interface was overhauled, and some new features were added. Some additional router models are supported, with more planned. There is alpha support for some PowerPC and IXP425 based router boards, including the MagicBox embedded system.

DD-WRT v24 in beta development will eventually allow up to 16 virtual interfaces with different SSIDs and encryption protocols.

______________________________________________________________________________________________

I personally have two wrt54gs roters running "DD-WRT", And have had no problems what so ever with either router.

If anything they work better. I have never had to unplug either router to reset them from lack of response. The firmware is easy to setup and reliable. "DD-WRT" is a feature rich firmware for the wrt54g, gs, gl routers.

Also some buffolo routers cane run the firmware as well.
