I Sure This IS A Dumb Question 
I Have A Compaq Laptop That I Purchased From A Friend. (Very Cheap!!)
Now It only has 512 of ram and takes pc2700 (DDR 333). It has 2 slots and can handle 1g in each slot for a total of 2g.
Ok here is my Question!!!!! CAN I PUT FASTER RAM IN??
Such as pc4200 (DDR 533) with out messing anything up???
I am thinking i can go up and not down but i'm not sure that's why i'm asking please help
